Considered
by many to be pound-for-pound the world’s greatest
fighting
game fish,
the Atlantic salmon can be found in 60 rivers
throughout Labrador, Canada. In most of Labrador
one ‘large’ salmon may be retained.
Some
rivers in Labrador boast annual spawning ground
‘runs’ of more than 20,000 fish, and salmon
weighing more than 20 pounds are regularly hooked.
Landing one of these fighting machines - even
a four-or-five-pounder - on a fly is indeed
a test of the angler’s skill and strength.
Some
anglers consider salmon fishing to be the ultimate
in sportfishing adventures. Once you try flyfishing
for Atlantic Salmon in Newfoundland and Labrador
Canada, you will agree its among the most challenging
of all sportfish.
